Georgia Track & Field Recruiting Standards

The University of Georgia combines SEC competition, national-level track and field tradition, and highly competitive recruiting expectations across every event group.

Georgia Recruiting Overview

Understanding Georgia Track & Field Recruiting

Georgia recruits at a national SEC level. The standards below are presented as recruiting ranges to help families understand the difference between target-level recruiting marks and scholarship-level recruiting consideration.

For running events, ranges are listed from faster to slower. For field events, ranges are listed from the lower recruiting mark to the stronger target-level mark.

Meeting a standard does not guarantee coach support, scholarship money, admission, or a roster spot. Coaches evaluate roster needs, event-group depth, academic profile, progression, and projected SEC contribution.

Why Georgia Recruiting Requires Realistic Evaluation

Georgia recruits in one of the deepest track and field conferences in the country. Families should view these ranges as serious national-level benchmarks, not simple checklist numbers.

A mark inside the range may begin a conversation, but coach interest depends heavily on event-group need, roster depth, scholarship availability, academic profile, and projected SEC scoring potential.
