Estimated probability of competing in college track and field.

It's not easy

According to the NCAA over 1.5 million high school students participate in track & field/cross country. Of those 1.5 million participants only 85,000-90,000 will go on to compete in college, approximately 6%. A large majority of that 6% will be asked to walk-on and will not receive an athletic scholarship. It is imperative that you communicate with your HS coach at an early age to ensure you are doing all that you are able to prepare yourself. Start reaching out to college coaches as soon as you finish your 9th-grade season. Have a plan of attack - or let me create it for you!
