Here is an actual week of early season training from one of the top programs in the nation.

Monday - 65 minutes easy + 6 x 100m strides

Tuesday - 20 minutes easy + 10 x 3’ / 2” off+ 15 minutes easy

Wednesday - 90 minutes easy

Thursday - am 30 min easy pm 60 minutes easy

Friday - am 4 x 2500m with 2 min recovery jog pm 35 minutes easy

Saturday - 50 minutes easy

Sunday - 1:50 - 2:00 minutes easy
